OfSTED and School Data
Our last full inspection took place in February 2014. When we were inspected in November 2012 we were judged a 'Good school'. We were, therefore, extremely disappointed to be judged as requiring 'special measures' in February 2014.
In September 2014 Her Majesty's Inspectors (HMI) returned for their scheduled visit and deemed that our Action Plan to address the development points listed in the February Report was 'fit for purpose'. Since the inspectors visit in February 2014 the school has been working closely with the Local Authority to make the necessary improvements.
We would like to thank parents for showing us overwhelming support in our efforts.
As a result of being placed in special measures the school governors liaised with the Department for Education and we are delighted that we are now part of the Shrewsbury Academy Trust group of schools. This has enabled the school to strengthen the improvements already made by receiving further support and guidance.

"Disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs achieve well and make progress that is at least as good as other pupils and often better, as a result of well-thought-out activities that motivate and interest them and good support from teaching assistants."
